Celebrating Valentines CO Style

Valentine's Day is the day of "love" basically; well for me it was a day to celebrate friendship and the love of Christ. Campus Outreach had an anti-Valentine's day party this past Saturday night and it was so much fun! The number one friendship I celebrated that night was with my friend Lindsey. She is one of my best friends.
The next friendship I celebrated was with my friend Morgan. She was the very first Campus Outreach person I met and one of my closest friends. Her personality and her faith always lift me up and cheer me up as well. She's always there when I need her or when I need someone to pray with/for me. I am so blessed to have her.
Next up is one of my best friends Rachel. She's the main reason I'm apart of Campus Outreach in the first place. If it hadn't been for her emailing me and inviting me to join I wouldn't know her or anyone else in the group. I wouldn't have such amazing friends or a relationship with Christ. I am majorly blessed to have her to go to for advice or a good laugh.
This is one of my best friends Katie. She definitely can cheer me up no matter what. From the late night phone calls so she can pray for me, Q&A Bible studies, to rooming with me at Fall Retreat. I couldn't ask for a better sister in Christ to look up to when things get hard for me. I know that if I call her up she will answer!!!!!!!!!! She's there no matter what!!!!

There are so many other friends I could post about but it would take too long! I celebrated ALL my friendships this weekend!!!

Love ALL my friends!!!!!!!
God bless,

Modesty of a College Girl in an Immodest World

Our society is teaching females that being immodest will get you the attention you deserve when it does not in my opinion, God says that you are beautiful the way you are because He made you in His image.

I did a fun photo shoot with my best friend and it was so much fun, and my outfit was cute and modest. Choosing what to wear was a little difficult, but I chose what I was comfortable in. Our society idolizes what I call "fake beauty", however true beauty is what is inside. I know I know..... you've heard that before. If people never said it then it wouldn't be true.

I have always been insecure about my appearance and how I looked. I am learning and becoming more confident about my body because I know God made me the way I am for a reason. This is something I just learned a few months ago and it shocked me..........guys like girls who respect their bodies. Yes, that has to do with how you dress and how you look, and to be honest I would have never guessed that in the first place.

Psalm 139:14 says "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful I know that full well." That basically is saying that God made you in His image and for a reason. Modesty is something that is so close to my heart and is important to me. I've struggled with modesty throughout my life and now I'm confident in what I wear and who I am while wearing it.

I hope to inspire girls and adult women to want to respect their bodies and that they know that they were made in the image of an Almighty God. So if you are reading this, I hope you know how special you are and how much you are loved! Don't wear stuff to get attention because guys may look at you but they will NOT respect you. Trust me! I know from experience.

God bless!

Christ and Coffee

One Friday morning, I ended up being in Statesboro so I went to Starbucks. I got a hot chocolate as usual and had my Bible in hand. As I sat down to do some "quiet time" I looked out the window and saw how the light was on my stuff. So I took out my phone and snapped this picture.

Some people may think I am weird but I don't think so. Christ and coffee go together perfectly and it sounds great too. I was studying Proverbs 3:5-6 (my favorite verse), and I learned something new. God is teaching me this semester to trust in Him more and to turn to Him more.

The pink book in the picture is my new "prayer journal." I absolutely love it and always keep it with me. So don't ever be ashamed of Christ and coffee because it works!
