The Enemy Within
By: Lecie Fitzner
I sit in a room I don't want to be in
Listening to a man talk about the enemy within
An enemy I know all too well
For the enemy is apart of myself
He enters my mind as I try to listen
He tells me to run....hide...
I tell him no no! Leave me be!
For I have a God that loves me
As I focus back in the enemy strikes
Reminding me of previous fights
I just want to be left alone I shout inside my heart
A battle is warring inside my soul
I start to feel all alone
Because I start to listen to the enemy within
The man tells me to hold on to my faith in the one who can win
You're not alone the man says
I sit in my chair feeling as if someone is starring
I look around to see no one starring but the eyes of the enemy within
I can't breath and my heart pounds
The enemy strikes with thoughts and sounds
Thoughts that scare me and that make me fear
But my Father calls me dear
I have won the battle my Father says
The enemy within does not hold you captive
Yes Father yes yes yes I know you're there
But why do I feel so scared
I'm scared to let someone hear me scream
Scared to dream a dream that is so sweet
A dream of one day of no more suffering
The enemy within strikes and cuts so hard
I feel as if I'm slowly being crushed
I cry out why are you doing this to me
You don't remember when you felt as if you were worthless
What would they think of you if they knew
But God loves me He does
He doesn't love you that's just lies
NO more I scream
For I have a God who loves me
I repeat that line over & over
Trying to listen to the man talking about the enemy within
God is here
God is near
The mighty one has won the battle against the enemy within.
God has won the battle over Satan (the enemy)!!!
God bless,

9/11/16 My Baptism at Connection Church
Connection Church, located in Statesboro, Georgia, had baptisms on September 11, 2016. They had some in the 9 A.M. service and the 11 A.M. service. I got baptized in the second service with about 10 other people. They give you a shirt for you to wear when you are getting baptized and then you bring a change of clothes.
A little background info......
I started going to Connection Church back in the fall of 2014 and immediately fell in love with it. It's a nondenominational contemporary church. The building that it is held in is fairly new and very accommodating. The Senior Pastor is Brandon Williams.
Now onto my baptism..........
The moment I went under the water and came up was an indescribable moment and I'm so blessed to have experienced it. There were 1,200 people in the second service watching me.....(pretty nerve-wracking). I signed up to be baptized back in July of 2016 one Sunday after church. I had always battled between two different beliefs of it, however, it became clear over the summer.
My two small group leaders were there to help celebrate with me as well (pictured above). When I saw them afterwards I started crying because it meant the world to have them there. They helped me come to the decision of being baptized in the first place, along with some more of my friends.
God put this on my heart and kept pushing me to sign up for about a year even when I was still researching what baptism was and why we should do it. The biggest question I needed answer was, "If I don't do it can I still go to Heaven?" and the answer is YES! Baptism isn't your ticket into Heaven, believing in Jesus and what He did for you on the cross is your ticket. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change.
The two pictured above are two more of my friends that were there to support me. I couldn't of done it without my family and my friends. My mom, my best friend, and several other people I know where there to help support not just me but everyone who got baptized.
I'm blessed to have Connection in my life and I am now currently serving in what they call Konnection Kids (which is their kids ministry on Sundays). I work with two or three other adults in the four year old room. It's so rewarding to serve this church and more importantly my Lord & Savior.
God bless!

PRAISE THE LORD
"Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
2 Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!
"Let everything that,
Everything that
Everything that
Has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that,
Everything that
Everything that
Has breath praise the Lord
Praise You in the morning
Praise You in the evening
Praise You when I'm young
And when I'm old
Praise You whem I'm laughing
Praise You when I'm grieving
Praise You every
Season of the soul
If we could see
How much You're worth
Your power,
Your might,
Your endless love
Then surely we would
Never cease to praise
Praise You in the heavens
Join with the angels
Praising You forever and a day
Praise You on the earth now
Join with creation
Calling all the nations to Your praise
If they could see
How much You're woth
Your power,
Your might,
Your endless love
Then surely they would
Never cease to praise
I will worship,
I will worship
I will worship
You with every breath
I will worship,
I will worship
I will worship
You with every breath"
So praise the Lord in whatever season you may be in!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
2 Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!
3 Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
4 Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
5 Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!"
praise him with lute and harp!
4 Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
5 Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!"
~Psalm 150
This Psalm is incredible to me. If you really look at the book of Psalm in the Bible David praises God and he cries out to God. WOW!!! Psalm 150 is the last chapter in the book and to me it's super powerful. We are all to praise God in the good and in the bad.
"Let everything that,
Everything that
Everything that
Has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that,
Everything that
Everything that
Has breath praise the Lord
Praise You in the morning
Praise You in the evening
Praise You when I'm young
And when I'm old
Praise You whem I'm laughing
Praise You when I'm grieving
Praise You every

Never cease to praise
I will worship,
I will worship
I will worship
You with every breath
I will worship,
I will worship
I will worship
You with every breath"
This is a worship song that goes perfectly with the Psalm. No matter we are to praise the Lord Almighty in the worse of times and in the best of times!!!!!! I'm learning that now and trust me it's not easy but if we do praise the Lord then we will have joy!! A friend told me yesterday that we are to look to the Lord not our circumstances.
So praise the Lord in whatever season you may be in!
God bless,
